Winter activities

We had a busy week, as usual. Last week, Aidan gave me a paper snowman with a snowman card. Both were very cute, and I don't think words will do either justice, so I've included a picture. See how sweet he is! Holy cow, I just realized my camera software isn't on this computer yet. Eesh. Guess I'll have to include the picture later.

We went to see Santa on Wednesday. The boys had a good time. It was a little different than what I expected. There were no lines, which should have been a signal to me, I suppose. Santa just wasn't very jolly this year. Lucky for me the boys didn't notice. Even Henry enjoyed himself...I think he just followed his brothers' lead and decided that if the big fat man wasn't freaking them out, he'd be ok too. Again, I have pics that I'll have to include later.

Tomorrow we're going to an ornament exchange. It's the beginning of two weeks off of school for Aidan and Owen...I'm looking forward to spending lots of time with my little boys.

In praise of the clean bowl

Today the boys and I were upstairs, cleaning their rooms. In so doing, I wasn't necessarily giving a lot of individual attention to each boy. Henry was out of my sight for a few minutes. What can happen in a few minutes? Well, Paul Harvey, here's the rest of the story.

Henry came running up to me and said something like, "Puninair?" He had such a sweet, proud-of-himself smile on his face. I was totally perplexed, and thought briefly that I would just ignore him (you know, because I was busy! With the cleaning!) but thought better of it. I asked him again what he said, and again he repeated, "Puninair?" "Show me," I said. So he did his little happy dance, the one where he kind of prances, kind of runs, and tips his head from side to side, all the way to my bathroom. Then he points at the toilet and says, "Puninair?" Ah. Put in there. I lift up the lid, and sure enough, Aidan's Bionicle is floating. Thank goodness it was a clean bowl.
